I am Melinda Olson a mother of two, wife to my best friend, a Matrona Certified Holistic Birth Doula, certified HypnoBirthing® educator, Spinning Babies trained, Reiki Practitioner and trained in teaching Yin Yoga and Ashtanga. I have always felt this yearning inside me that I am a teacher, but how do you become a teacher when you don’t know what to teach? After years of courses, trainings, workshops, seminars, meetings, gatherings, traveling the world, working multiple jobs, and being still, I realized in order for me to be a teacher I must first be a student. Be a student of mother nature, of humans, of plants and animals, of the way life works, I must be a student of my own being. I realized that my truest passion is a need to ALWAYS be learning and understanding life in different ways. Which is how I ended up here. There is so much to learn in the world of birth, it’s everywhere! Not one creature, one soul, one spirit was alive without birth. I want to find a way to make birth normal again. I want mamas and dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and most importantly our kids to grow up knowing that birth is normal and we honor it with love, peace, praise and empowerment.
